“SCRIPTURE CANNOT BE BROKEN” - JESUS CHRIST (Jn 10:35)

ESSENTIAL TRUTHS FOR CHURCHES BIG OR SMALL

The Lord God gave His Laws to the sons of Israel and all mankind through Moses. God’s Law is a covenant, or contract between Himself and all mankind - how to receive eternal life in heaven (Gen 17:4-5, 35:9-11, Jn 3:36).

It cannot be changed because God never changes.

Jesus is called the WORD (John 1:1). If Jesus never changes then the words of scripture never change (Jn 5:45-46 NASB throughout).

Through history as recorded in His holy Bible He has always had one people - those who obey His ways, instead of someone else’s. See Bible Study;

JESUS USES THE OLD TESTAMENT

“Now even the first covenant had regulations of divine worship” (Heb 9:1). Most churches and their “pastors” are not even aware of the regulations for divine worship! (Ex 23:12-33, Heb 9:1).

At the beginning of scripture we find the Lord God took the man He had formed and “put him into the garden

of Eden to cultivate and keep it” (Gen 2:15). “Worship” means to “till, serve, do, be a servant, work, or be a worshipper,” Strong’s Concordance. Paul described himself as “a bondservant of Jesus Christ,” (Rom 1:1).

The Lord’s Spirit has unity - one church, one faith, one baptism, one spirit, one body (Gen 2:16-17, Num 15:14, Dt 30:15-18, Eph 4:4-6).

Marriage of man and woman is a picture of God’s purpose for His creature - mankind. A man and woman are to cleave together in a union the same as we are to cleave together with our Creator and Lord Jesus Christ (Gen 2:24, Jn 1:11-12, Eph 5:29-33, Col 1:16-23).

This picture shows God abides by the same laws He made for all mankind. Read Scripture’s history of mankind. Peaceful survival results from following God’s law (Lev 26:9, Ps 89:34, Dan 9:4).

The example of God and man abiding by the one, unchangeable law is a warning not to listen to ANY teaching which has different laws. The devil or any traditions of mankind instead of God’s commandments.

God’s is love. Be careful to discipline your life to His laws as a result of His love for you because you want to show your faith and your love for Him as your testimony (Deut 6:25, Eph 5:1-20).

The Bible shows how people freely choose to obey God or be drawn away and worship other gods and serve them and perish (2Cor 11:12-15). God offers us a life free from the burden of guilt and condemnation of His law. He says, to come to Him and learn of Him if we are weary and He will give rest (Mt 11:28-30).

We are to take His yoke upon us and learn of Him, not someone else’s ways. Because “His yoke is easy and His burden is light” (Mt 11:30).

Jesus is the Light we are to follow. This is the Judgment (Jn 3:19-21).

God said let there be light (Gen 1:3).

“In Him was the life and the life was the light of men” (Jn 1:4).

“God is light” (1 Jn 1:5-7).

“This is the Judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil.

For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that

his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God” (Jn 3:19-21, Eph 5:1).

We need simple devotion to Christ (2 Cor 11:3-4).

In Him (Jesus) was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it (Jn 1:4-5).

Maybe we should quote Jesus’s warning here from (Mark 7:6-8):

“Rightly did Isaiah prophecy of you hypocrites, as it is written,“This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me, But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men, neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men,” (NASB).

“Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. They worship Me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules. You have let go of the commandments of God and are holding on to human traditions,” (NIV)
